The College provides accomodation for 250 undergraduate and postgraduate students. While Johns is a Catholic College, membership is open to all. Religious freedom is guaranteed and tolerance expected.
The College is run by the Dominican Order. The College's primary aim is the provision of an environment for living and studying at the University so that the residents graduate with a balanced outlook on life based on Christian values. In this sense, the College sees itself contributing to the development of quality graduates.
Residents are encouraged to participate in College life while respecting the needs of their fellow students. This includes maintaining appropriate behaviour at all times and considering the needs of those they are living with.
