The Royal
      Australian Mint The Royal Australian Mint, Denison Street, Deakin. Open Monday to Friday, 9.00am-4.00pm. If the idea of making your own unique coin sounds appealing, this is the place you should go. Besides that, you can also view the coining process and the museum from the viewing gallery. Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. 45km southwest of City Hill. Open daily 9.00am-6.00pm. You can observe native animals roaming around in their natural habitat in this fantastic reserve for Australian flora and fauna. There's guided tour and bush walk trails available. Admission free. NASA Tracking
      Station NASA Tidbinbilla Tracking Station. Open daily 9.00am-5.00pm. This station is one of only three worldwide where you can discover the outer space. There are numerous programs going on in the Visitor Centre, featuring threatrettes, videos, memorabilia of early space missions, models and the latest space news. Phone (06) 201 7800.

National Dinosaur Museum. Gold Creek Road. 11km northwest of City Hill. Open daily 10.00am-5.00pm. It is the first Australian Museum dedicated to prehistoric creatures and houses nearly 300 exhibits which includes nine full size replica skeletons, fossils, and life-sized reconstructions of 3 Australian dinosaurs. Rehwinkel's Animal park Rehwinkel's Animal Park. Mac's Reef Road, 24km north of Canberra. Open daily, 10.00am-5.00pm. This special enclosure houses the largest collection of animals and birds in the region, including koalas, kangaroos, wombats, dingos, swans, peacocks and whole lot of others. Phone (06) 230 3328.

National Gallery of Australia. 2km southeast of City Hill. Open daily 10.00am-5.00pm. It's opened in 1982 and houses the national art collection in eleven galleries spread over three levels. The gallery has a continuing exhibition program which includes major collections from museums and galleries overseas. Sculpture is displayed in the Sculpture Garden. National

    Sound & Film Archive National Film and Sound Archive. McCoy Circuit, Acton. 1km west of City Hill. Open daily 9.00am-5.00pm.Here, you can see some of Australia's finest collection of film and sound media from the 1890s to the 1980s. Phone (06) 267 1711
